Inspiration

If quarantine has done anything for me, it’s made me a better plant mom. I have been nurturing, and caring for, and adding to my collection of plant babies since March and I love each and every one of them.

I have recently reflected on the many virtues of these simple creatures have realized they have several inspiring behaviors that I have come to appreciate.

Plants, for the most part, are incredibly resilient and able to cope with a multitude of adversities - droughts, flooding, extreme temperatures, infection, etc. They face it all and time after time adapt.

Plants know the importance of baby steps. They don’t rush to grow and change. They grow in tiny increments, setting a slow but steady pace.

Plants grow towards the sun. Your plants avoid the darkness and instead, turn towards the light to grow. In other words, they recognize on focusing on the positive to grow.

I could go on and on about all the positive behaviors that plants exhibit which are inspiring, but all this talk about plants has made me realize I have a few empty pots that need to be filled! Looks like a impromptu trip to the gardening center is in order today.
